Forbidden Novelties has signed multiple AVN Award winner Steven St. Croix to a contract that will allow them to develop six to eight product lines using his name and likeness, including a blown-glass replica of St. Croix’s curved penis.
The contract is for two years with options to renew and calls for promotional appearances at conventions, trade shows; radio and television appearances are already being scheduled for St. Croix to promote of his line of novelties.
While Forbidden Novelties has signed performers to endorsement deals before, this is the first they have signed someone they consider a big name and with a major role to play in their company. “This time I brought a big player to the table. We’re building up our momentum and we’re going to start making an impact on the marketplace,” Ben Fisher, spokesperson for Forbidden Novelties, told AVN.com “ I’m currently negotiating with a female performer who is a big player in her own right. She should be signing with us in the next week or two. ”
Forbidden Novelties is currently looking for two more female performers to place under contract.
The first item that will be released in the St. Croix line will be a blown glass replica of St. Croix’s well known penis that curves sharply, a shape St. Croix calls his “g-spot curve.” The replica will have colorful swirls interwoven throughout the design and will come with St. Croix’s signature engraved upon the dildo or engraved upon a silver plate on the dildo
St. Croix has never modeled for, nor endorsed a novelty line before. He says that Forbidden Novelties was really the first company he felt comfortable working with.
“I’ve had past dealings with Ben and it’s a small company with a potential for growth. I prefer to be more involved with a company as opposed to being brought in as a name and a face: ‘Here’s a check, thanks for taking a picture.’ St. Croix said.
Although directing is not part of the contract between St. Croix and Forbidden novelties, St. Croix will be directing some features for them early next year – something he hasn’t done since his Vivid years. And something he’s very inspired to do a little differently.
“I just think that there are edgier subjects and materials that can be explored. The story should drive the feature instead of the sex. If you have a great story and character that allows the viewers to really relate to the story and they become more involved with the story,” Croix said.
With Fisher as a producer, St. Croix intends to start directing for Forbidden Novelties in six months.
Croix’s first appearance on behalf of Forbidden Novelties will take place any day. “I’m going to grab the Wienerschnitzel vehicle and drive around downtown Burbank and wear a tutu while I sing kumbaya,” he joked.
