Those who think sex and food are a natural match should enjoy the brainchild of a Scottish naturist couple, grandparents Roxanne and Richard (not their real names). They've launched a website advertising their unique kind of intimate candlelight meals.
"We are just a normal couple who enjoy meeting other people with the same interests. There's nothing seedy about meeting new, like-minded friends for a relaxing evening in good company," Richard told British reporters about the site.
"The idea has been a huge hit. People from all over the world have been in touch," he continued. "We had an Australian couple, in their 60s, here at the weekend and cooked them chicken stuffed with haggis to give them a taste of Scotland. We are entertaining an Israeli couple later in the year. We also get a lot of interest from American tourists."
The couple said the idea hit them after 10 years worth of vacationing at a Spanish naturist resort that inspired them to continue the experience at home.
"The weather here isn't really suitable so we decided to do something indoors instead," he said. "A nude dining experience seemed the perfect idea."
Be forewarned however: joining Richard and Roxanne with ideas of making whoopee is not on the menu.
"Some people expect there to be a sexual aspect to the evening so we speak to them on the phone first to make sure we're all on the same wavelength," Roxanne told the reporters. "We do not swap partners. We enjoy being naked because it gives us a sense of freedom."
The couple's site is believed to get between 300 to 400 hits a day, with diners offered choices from Italian, Oriental, Mexican, and Scottish cuisine. And they have a practical reason for using aliases: Only the oldest of their two children knows of their unusual hobby.
