The Sinderellaz strip club closed for good last week after its owners made a deal with Melbourne city officials to close their establishment instead of facing suspension of their business license over a series of police allegations.
Savas Tiram and Yuksel Oldac told Florida Today newspaper that they agreed to shut down the club and not operate another adult-oriented establishment within city limits. The two have agreed to convert their building into an adult arcade with video slot machines.
The club had been facing possible suspension of its adult entertainment license over allegations of sexual battery, illegal alcohol consumption and of failing to keep complete personnel records.
Although city officials hailed the strip club’s closing, Mayor Loretta Isenberg-Hand expressed her misgivings at turning the club into an adult arcade, saying it would open the door to legalized gambling in the city.
