An insurance firm this week fired one of its financial advisers after it was discovered she was moonlighting as a model on an Internet porn site.
Michelle Batowski, 22, was fired by Legal & General after a colleague spotted her on a Website featuring young women flashing their breasts in public. She had been on sick leave for several months at the time, according to Glasgow’s Daily Record newspaper.
“We were only made aware of Ms. Batowski’s outside work, which came as a surprise given her long term sickness absence,” said a company spokesman.
The woman, who was making $22,500 a year at the firm, had gotten into modeling after sending her photo to a men’s magazine for regular feature dubbed “Assess Your Breasts.”
Batowski complained that she was unfairly fired and plans to file a complaint with the government employment board.
“I did no paid modeling work while I was off sick,” she said.
“I’m not the sort of person who goes out to get drunk every Friday and Saturday night and modeling is my release from ordinary life… I’m not ashamed of what I’ve done.”
