Police here say they had no knowledge of an Internet investigation by news Website Fijilive.com that Qamea Beach was used for shooting portions of 2002's Exotica 2 by Hustler Video.
The Fijian location was one of five used to make the film, according to a published report, with the others being in Hawaii, Tahiti, Spain, and Puerto Rico.
"Fiji’s reputation as an exotic location is luring tourists in search of more than the usual sea, sun and surf on offer," Fijilive.com said. "A Fijilive investigation has discovered that [a] U.S. pornographic movie was shot in Fiji."
So what's the big deal? According to police spokesman Mesake Koroi, it's illegal in Fiji to shoot porn in public.
Directed by Pierre Woodman, Exotica 2 features adult performers in "exotic" locations around the world.
