Gay adult video producer Falcon Studios and gay adult VOD provider NakedSword.com have announced the formation of a strategic partnership to promote and produce Falcon content on NakedSword and its affiliated sites.
NakedSword will now receive exclusive streaming rights to all titles 90 days after they are released on DVD. The companies will launch joint affiliate tools and co-branded promotions, and co-develop new sites such as MustangStudiosVOD.com.
"NakedSword has been a very aggressive and inventive player in the VOD market," said Todd Montgomery, President of Falcon Studios. "Their development and promotional team is one of the best I've seen. NakedSword knows our content extremely well and their ability to reach a unique and dedicated audience is crucial in a changing marketplace."
Though other studios were fearful that VOD release would harm hard-copy sales, Falcon and NakedSword collaborated in a limited online release of Falcon Studios' Cross Country 1-2, demonstrating that online promotion could increase sales and title awareness offline. The success of the promotion helped the two companies identify the synergies available through a closer relationship between producer and distributor.
"It's a win for both companies, as well as for consumers and affiliates," said Tim Valenti, President of NakedSword.com. "Falcon is able to maximize its promotion and branding, our affiliates get new tools and content, and our VOD consumers get access to titles from Falcon, Mustang, and Jocks while the marketing is still fresh."
Falcon and NakedSword partnered earlier this month on Home Delivery, a consumer-and-affiliate-friendly VOD service that delivers five scenes per week to subscribers for a low subscription price.
"Falcon makes great movies," said Valenti. "And we develop great promotions to showcase them. I'm looking forward to a prosperous future together."
