Falcon Increases European Distribution Deal with DUSEDO-M.O.I.

Gay adult company Falcon Studios has secured a deal with European company DUSEDO-M.O.I. to distribute its titles in the European market. One of the largest gay products companies in Europe, DUSEDO will provide wholesale distribution of more than 400 Falcon titles to several different locations, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. Additionally, DUSEDO will distribute the entire line of DVD titles available under the Falcon, Jocks, and Mustang brand names.

"When we looked for a partner to help us dramatically increase our European wholesale distribution, it was clear that DUSEDO-M.O.I. was the right choice," Falcon's Chief Operating Officer Todd Montgomery said in a press release issued earlier this week. "They have a long and successful track record as a wholesaler of gay adult material, and we know that they will distribute our products in a way that is consistent with the quality and integrity expected from the Falcon Family."

The deal comes on the heels of a similar one announced last week by Titan Media to release its product to more than 12 million European homes via pay-per-view and cable. Montgomery, who spoke with AVN.com on Thursday, says he thinks such deals foretell a day in which gay adult content will be similarly distributed in the U.S. "I think that first you have to start with Europe," he said. "They have a different attitude about porn altogether. Because of what is happening there, I think we will see some similar type of adoption for distribution here in the United States.

"I think the future is that gay adult content will be distributed as widely as straight adult content," Montgomery continued. "It's just going to take longer in the United States. In the meantime, we've decided to focus our energies on tapping into the domestic market to broadcast our content via cable or satellite, and are actively considering proposals to do that."
