The second annual Exxxotica Miami, a three-day adult tradeshow, will be hitting the Miami Beach Convention Center on March 30.
Exxxotica Miami debuted in June of 2006, attracting more than 16,000 attendees. Organizer J. Handy said that they've moved the event to March, to coincide with the massive influx of people to the area for Spring Break. "We saw a hole in the market… nobody was producing an adult event of this size on the East Coast," said Handy. "We looked at several cities, but when we considered South Beach, we knew we found a home for Exxxotica."
Produced by Victory Tradeshow Management and presented by HotMovies.com, the three-day event will feature a Ms. Exxxotica Competition (with judges including Bob Levy of the "Howard Stern Show"), a lingerie fashion show and Nearly Naked Mechanical Bull Riding.
There will also be an array of new and recurring seminars, including Swinging 101, Sensual Bondage, and The Art of Talking Dirty.
The popular realty show "Miami Ink" will also have a presence at the event, as the program will be holding open auditions for people to feature in its upcoming episodes. "They came to us about casting," explained Handy. "Miami Beach is a pretty small area, and they thought that this might be a great place to find some people…they might even be sending [candidates] right over to the [tattoo] shop from here, after they've interviewed."
Handy said that he and fellow organizer Ben LaJoie have called upon key retailers in the industry, as well as mainstream vendors ranging from limo companies to local nightclubs, to create an impressive lineup of exhibitors for Exxxotica.
"With a variety of out-of-the-box entertainment, we've created an atmosphere that's both outrageous and an ideal business opportunity for the right exhibitor," said LaJoie. "We've staged it in Miami Beach at the peak of the European travel season, so we expect a great turnout, which is a win-win for everyone involved."
Genesis magazine editor Dan Davis said that in addition to bringing an array of adult talent to Miami, the publication will sponsor an ongoing talk show on the center stage called Everything You Wanted to Know About Porn (But Were Afraid to Ask). The show boasts an all-star panel comprised of editors, writers, producers, directors, industry executives, and adult performers.
Plenty of talent, including Jenna Jameson and her Club Jenna girls, Tera Patrick, Carmen Luvana, Hillary Scott, Sunny Lane, Amber Rain, Ava Rose, Taylor Wane, Lexi Bardot, Tommy Gunn, Jenna Haze, Sasha Grey and several more, are scheduled to be on hand for the event to meet fans and sign autographs.
The show runs from 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday, and then from noon to 11 p.m. on March 31 and noon to 7 p.m. on April 1. For more information, go to www.exxxoticamiami.com.
