Exquisite Multimedia (EXP) will begin shipping the debut volume of Gina’s Black Attack, Gina Lynn Production’s first interracial title tomorrow.
The title isn’t just Gina Lynn Productions’ first interracial, its also the first interracial title directed by Travis Knight, Gina Lynn’s longtime collaborator and partner in her production company. “I was a little worried because I’d never shot an interracial video before, “ Knight told AVN.com. “But it came out pretty sweet. Lauren Phoenix was in a great scene with Nate Turner, and they gave me what I needed – some really dirty stuff.”
Besides Phoenix, the reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year, the female cast of Gina’s Black Attack includes Nautica Thorn, Jayna Oso, Finesse Navaro, Veronica Jett; Turner, Brian Pumper, and Dexter provide the wood.
Lynn, currently under contract with Club Video, doesn’t appear in any sex scenes – but her presence can be felt throughout the video. “I help choose the cast. I only cast the girls I think are hot because if it has my name on it, I want it to be something that turns me on,” Lynn says, noting she also helps with wardrobe and makeup for the same reason.
Lynn has also been known to take control of the set during a sex scene. “I think she actually gets off on directing – she’s so used to being told what to do, that she really gets off when she gets to run everything,” Knight said. “She’s very hands-on when she directs. I’ve never worked with a female director as a performer so I can’t make any comparisons in that regard, but when I watch her direct, I see myself.”
The DVD version of Gina’s Black Attackincludes a boy/girl photo gallery of Lynn with Lexington Steele that was shot prior to her Club Video contract.
Lynn and Steele worked together in Jules Jordan’s Gina Lynn’s Darkside, which won the 2005 AVN Award for Best Gonzo Release “These are pictures that have never been seen before. The pictures on Black Attack aren’t from Darkside; you can’t see the same pictures on their box or DVD gallery.
“These are from a shoot that we put aside until we needed them – and we think that placing them on our first interracial title is the best way to use them.”
Both the VHS and DVD versions of Gina’s Black Attack have holographic foil covers. “There are different types of foil. There is plain foil, the type that gives it a metallic look, and then there is the holographic type,” Exquisite Multimedia general manager Tony B says. “The holographic type is more pleasing to the eye than plain foil – when you put it under the light there’s a swirl of colors that fans love simply for the coolness factor. It’s a little bit more expensive, but we don’t spare any expense when it comes to giving our fans what they want.”
Tony B. also notes that in order to provide distributors and consumers with a clearer picture of the title, a trailer has been made available on Expxxx.com.
