CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Led by sales veteran Howard Levine, Exile Distribution has grown legs and gained momentum right out of the starting gate. Levine reports that the company’s done record numbers in its first three months, including quadrupling sales totals for Penthouse Studios.
Levine credits Penthouse’s uptick in sales to brand-new box covers and critically acclaimed movies. He reports that Orgasm has sold out and now is on its second pressing. Titles coming soon from the studio include Raunchy Nurses, Newlywed Sinners and Hardcore Latinas.
Special to Penthouse is its first 3D release in May, the upcoming Real Pornstars of Chatsworth starring 2011 Penthouse Pet of the Year Nikki Benz. The movie will be released in two packages: a 2D/3D analglyph version and a real 3D Blu-ray edition.
“It was very important to change the look of Penthouse so it is much more representative of the magazine,” Levine said. “This was accomplished immediately; and then we got the product in the hands of the reviewers, who gave it a big thumbs up. I’m pleased with the response and so is Penthouse.”
Exile Distribution also handles amateur line Peter Girls POV from Peter Romero, which Levine reports has done well at the distributor and retail level. Peter Girls POV 2 ships this week.
Exile also has ventured into new territory with the distribution of the Sinsual Shots line of sex enhancement supplements. Intended for both men and women, but especially women, you mix the shot with your favorite drink to achieve an enhanced orgasm immediately.
The product currently is in a testing phase with Walgreens and CVS and it should be in stores by the end of the summer.
Also on the horizon for Exile Distribution is legendary director Paul Thomas’ version of The Graduate, starring Savanna Samson as Mrs. Robinson in what Levine says might be her last adult film.
Last, but certainly not least, is Nina Mercedez’s Heartbreaker Films. Its first release, Sexual Desires, featuring Sophia Santi’s first boy/girl scene ever shot, sold out in two weeks.
”Things are going very, very well thanks to the support of the distributors and chain stores, not to mention the hardest working man in show biz, Jerry from Exquisite, and the great team we have here.”
