The top toy and novelty companies in adult entertainment will gather July 14-16 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel for the eighth annual Adult Novelties Manufacturers Expo.
The 2003 event, which is industry only, will be the largest in the show's history with about 80 exhibitors showing off the hottest new products available. Geoff Aran, president of Kammo Productions, which produces the Expo, told AVN that nearly every exhibitor has returned from last year. He also has given booths to several first-timers.
"The show has grown, probably another 10 percent over last year," Aran said. "We're expecting a larger number of attendees. Registrations are up."
Aran said that he has altered the layout of the floor for this year's show. Rather than have additional exhibitors spread out in several meeting rooms, there will be a giant tent in the valet parking area that will house dozens of booths. Aran said it will make attendee traffic flow more efficiently as buyers leave the main ballroom and climb one flight of stairs to the parking lot to visit the other booths.
"Essentially, all the additional exhibitors will be in one room," he said. "With everyone together it makes it a little bit easier," he said. "It's not so spread out this time."
Aran said ANME again is throwing a dinner party by the pool on July 15 that is invitation only.
Some of the new exhibitors this year include Copper Plate Publishing, Ticket Kitty Press, Little Genie Productions, G & N Works, Greggo Magnets, Dr. Joel Kaplan, Ruff Doggie Styles, Love Jam, Picture Brite and Khaper Game. Swedish Erotica, Topco Sales and California Exotic Novelties are among the heavyweight companies returning this year.
