Tom Byron’s Evolution Erotica is set to release “The Byron Class-X Collection,” remastered versions of the 30 movies the producer-director shot for Extreme Associates. The first set of four titles ships this week.
When Byron set up his own studio last summer he focused on new releases, introducing a new package design and making all his movies double-disk sets. While he kicked out new lines like Meat Pushin' In The Seat Cushion and Ass Eaters Unanimous, he also began to remaster the movies he had directed as part of Extreme.
"When Rob [Black] and I split last summer,” Byron told AVN.com, “I retained the rights to my movies. I was never completely happy with the quality of the original DVDs, so I remastered and re-authored them, along with creating new packaging more in touch with today's consumer,".
Evolution will release all 30 Class-X Collection titles by April. The first set, streeting this week, includes Whack Attack 1, Whack Attack 2 (AVN Award for Best Gonzo Video, 1998), Lord of Asses 1 and Lord of Asses 2. Both series feature a veritable who's who of male and female porn stars.
