Esperanza Del Horno Reasserts GoFundMe Appeal as June Goal Nears

CYBERSPACE—European adult star Esperanza Del Horno has increased appeals to donors as she nears a June goal for a GoFundMe campaign that was started in November, to help her in "escaping a dangerous situation," as she has explained for months on social media.

Del Horno set up the GoFundMe in November to raise funds to “get her and her baby out of an extremely unsafe living situation, and for stable housing and essentials.”

Since then, she has made appeals on social media, posting comments on the apparent ongoing circumstances. Recently, Del Horno has ramped up efforts in order to reach the target of €8,000 (or $9,288 USD) in June. An amount of €6,130 ($7,106 USD) has been reached so far.

AVN contacted Del Horno for comment on the situation currently and her response mirrors social media posts on her accounts, as she has continued her pleas for donations. Del Horno, who lists her location as Amsterdam on her X profile, said this:

“If you would’ve asked me this a year ago, I honestly never imagined I would have to tell my story publicly. I never wanted to become ‘the girl with the GoFundMe’ but when you run out of options, asking for help becomes less about pride and more about survival,” she began.

“I’m a mom to a young child, and I’ve been trying to leave an abusive relationship for a long time. The abuse has been physical, emotional, financial and psychological.

“Whenever people hear my story, they usually say the same things: ‘Just leave, call the police, go to a shelter,’ etc. And I understand why people say that, but those answers are a lot easier when you’re only responsible for yourself,” Del Horno explained. “The hardest part isn’t even asking for money anymore. It’s feeling like I have to keep proving that my situation is serious enough.

“I’m not trying to escape for a weekend. I’m trying to build a safe life that lasts,” she added. Fear of personal and professional repercussions toward her and her toddler are what Del Horno said has trapped her into the circumstances. She claims to have been retired from performing but compelled to return following the birth of her child.

“I don’t want sympathy. I don’t want attention. I don’t want this to define me,” Del Horno said. “I just want the chance to give my child a peaceful, stable home.”

The performer told AVN that despite continued efforts, industry colleagues have been mostly unable to offer support. “Some called me a ‘scammer,’” she conveyed. While she has not elaborated on the specifics of what her plans entail, she states that she intends to make a “complete break” and relocate some distance away from the current situation.
