Veteran performer-director-producer Erik Everhard has signed an exclusive contract with Jules Jordan Video, giving Jordan distribution rights to Everhard titles.
Everhard comes to Jules Jordan after spending much of the year with Evil Angel. He had been an exclusive director/performer for Red Light District for over two years, releasing more than 20 titles for the company.
In a joint statement, Evil Angel owner John Stagliano and his wife Karen, said that Everhard's departure was due to a conflict over his video Jailbait 3.
"The final issue between Evil Angel Productions and Erik Everhard was the movie Jailbait 3 which includes a scene with Brianna Love that was shot at Red Light when Brianna was a contract girl at Red Light and Erik was also still at Red Light.
"We were not aware of the situation until [Red Light president] David Joseph informed us. We then told Erik we would not, as his distributor, release that scene through Evil Angel because we did not think it was ethical and Erik did not agree with that decision and subsequently he contacted Jules Jordan for distribution. We wish them a long and happy relationship."
Everhard, however, would not comment on the statement, saying he was simply looking forward to working with Jordan.
"Jules and I have a relationship that goes back 10 years. He was the first person I shot for on the East Coast. I sent out a bunch of screeners and he was the only one that responded. So I flew out there and we hit it off."
Jordan said Everhard has proven his worth in the past and would be a valuable addition to his team.
"I've always been a fan of his of his movies and the choice of talent he has for his movies," said Jordan, owner of his namesake company.
"He's a person like myself. We live and breathe pornography 24/7 and he's obsessed with girls and producing. I want someone on my team who's a lifer and who sees that the job doesn't end at 5 o'clock."
Everhard said he and Jordan share much common ground when it comes to hardcore.
"We both came up through the ranks of pornography for a long time and we share much of the same creative passion for hardcore. So to me it was a no-brainer to go with Jules.
Under the deal, Everhard's titles, going back to his days at Red Light, will all be distributed through Jules Jordan. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Among the lines to be distributed by Jules Jordan are Cum in My Ass Not in My Mouth, Cum Filled Asshole Overload and Outnumbered.
The first release under the deal will be Canadian Beaver 2, set for sometime in November, Everhard said.
Everhard joins fellow former Red Light director, Mike John, Alexander Devoe and Jordan himself who directs, produces and distributes his own titles.
Everhard joined the industry in April 1998 as a performer, and then went on to work with Anabolic as a performer and director before moving on to Red Light and Evil Angel.
He is known for his edgy videos featuring aggressive, hard sex in various locales, including public places like city squares, trains as well as parks, shops, strip clubs and other locations.
"You have to love a guy who is willing to get himself arrested for the sake of providing the viewer a great scene," Jordan said.
