Tommy Hol Ellingsen and Leona Johansson take the environment very seriously, but it appears they don’t take everything seriously —especially laws prohibiting public sex.
The Norwegian couple has refused to pay a fine they were issued for having sex on stage during a concert earlier this year in an effort to raise awareness for environmental causes.
Norwegian television station TV2 reports that Ellingsen 28, and Johansson, 21 — the couple behind Fuckforforest.com, a porn Web site that gives a portion of profits to environmental causes — showed up in court to enter a not guilty plea dressed as children.
While neither Ellingsen nor Johannsson stated the reason for their dress, TV2 theorized their costumes were “most likely an attempt to express how dumb they think the case is.”
Ellingsen and Johannsson were fined $1,750 each for having sex onstage during a July 6 concert by Cumshots, a Norwegian rock band. The couple has said that they would prefer jail to paying the fine.
In the middle of the Cumshots set at the Quart music festival, the couple came onstage, removed their clothes and began to have sex. When they had finished, after about ten minutes, they left to the applause of the crowd.
A banner was raised during the live sex show informing the audience of 4,000 that the couple was having sex to save the rainforest.
The Cumshots were fined $1,570 each for inviting the couple to have sex during the set, but only frontman Kristopher Schau has paid the fine. The other three members of the band have refused to pay the fine and will have to appear in court.
TV2 reports one band member as saying after the incident, “Cumshots can’t live on beer and hard alcohol alone. We need air to live, that’s why we support the rain forest.”
The concert’s organizers were fined $7,580 for the stunt. They, too, have refused to pay the fine, though not in support of the couple’s environmentalist message. Their argument is that they shouldn’t have to pay because they didn’t approve the display.
The environmentally minded couple claims to have been contacted by several porn producers in both Denmark and Sweden about the possibility of making Fuck for Forest – The Movie.
