Elegant Angel has reacquired its distribution from Devil’s Distribution, effective Tuesday, March 16, according to owner Patrick Collins.
Collins told AVN.com that his three decades-long friendship with Devil’s owner Mike Rubenstein “was the basis for our decision to make a distribution agreement, and it continues to be the primary motivation of our decision to return to the leadership roles of our respective companies.”
Both men, Collins said, had underestimated the time constraints of Rubenstein’s “running his own production company, as well as his replication and duplication companies, plus all the elements necessary in facilitating Elegant Angel’s distribution.”
Part of their original deal, Collins said, was that if it didn’t work out for either party, they would work with each other “to return both companies to their original structure.”
“We both are confident that we gave it our best,” Collins said, “and most importantly, we remain friends.”
