Due to the success of its partnership with Devil's Distribution as its exclusive statewide distributor and its "Back To The Basics" campaign, Elegant Angel has announced that, starting in March, it will be doubling video production by adding new series and new directors to their stable.
"We want to thank all the fans out there for their support," Collins said. "Now that we are solely a production company we have been able to focus our energies in the area of our expertise."
According to Collins, when Devil's Distribution began their distribution of Elegant Angel's titles in November, they doubled the previous month's sales numbers. In January, sales were up 30 percent higher than they were in November.
Collins also credits directors Thomas Zupko and William H. with helping Elegant Angel grow.
"First and foremost, Thomas Zupko is shooting gonzo and with his unique vision is setting a new standard for the genre," Collins said.
Zupko, best known for features, recently began shooting the Big Wet Asses series for Elegant Angel. He has also started a new series Gang Bang Anal that depicts anal gang bangs with "Zupkoisms" such as having a gang bang set in a swamp and having clowns perform in another gang bang.
"William H is blazing new trails in erotica," Collins added. "(H)is diversity and unique creativity have finally garnered him the sales, recognition, and respect he deserves." William H., whose Heavy Handfuls won an AVN Award for the Best Specialty Tape – Big Bust category, also directs four other series for Elegant Angel: Tails of Perversity, Dr. Fellatio, Internally Yours, and Glazed and Confused.
Elegant Angel has also signed an as yet unnamed European director who Collins says shoots arguably," the most beautiful women in all the world in some of the most exotic locales."
French adult star Tristan has also signed on to shoot a European line for Elegant Angel.
Other plans for 2004 include a big budget sequel to Big Bottom Sadie that will be shot in high-definition this summer, a new squirt series Pussy Juice, that will star Cytherea – who will share directing credit for the series with Collins.
And there will be the return of Buttwoman series, and Collins hints that one of the best known Buttwomen may be returning as well to welcome the series back.
And new director's and new lines aren't the only new aspect of Elegant Angel - the packaging of all Elegant Angel titles will be revamped in March, with foil being added to all DVD releases.
