Eddie Spaghetti

AVN Online Associate Editor and part-time rock star Frank Meyer gives readers a monthly guide to all that's cool and hip in the world of sex, rock, and rap. With rockers and rappers alike appearing in and producing porn, and mainstream media slowly but surely embracing the genre, it seems high time that we make the connection between those that rock and those that fuck and everything that lies in between.

This edition of Frankly Speaking finds our AVN Online scribe going beer-to-beer with Supersuckers frontman Eddie Spaghetti.

After a decade and a half fronting the mighty Supersuckers, Seattle's best (and arguably only) rock 'n' roll band, vocalist/bassist Eddie Spaghetti took some time out of their hectic touring schedule to record his first solo effort, a collection of country rock covers and originals called The Sauce.

Spaghetti is currently on tour supporting that effort as well as the Supersuckers latest hard rock opus Motherfuckers Be Trippin'. No stranger to sex, drugs and the other stuff, Spaghetti was kind enough to take a moment out of his schedule in the self-proclaimed "greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world" to answer some questions about porn, sex and rock, and why these greats tastes taste so great together.

AVN Online:

So Eddie, you've sung many a ditty about the ins and out of sex and even named your band after a porn magazine (they were originally called the Black Supersuckers!). Why do porn and rock go so well together?

Eddie: I don't know. Do they? It sort feels a little like one of those things a "rocker" is supposed to do. You know, bang some heroin, snort coke off a porn star's ass, die young, etc. I think it's just human nature to want to see naked people doing things they do when they're naked.

AVN Online: Do porn stars just really wanna be rock stars or vice versa?

Eddie: I've never wanted to be a porn star, so I'm gonna have to say that they want to be rock stars. Shit, everybody wants to be a rock star, don't they?

AVN Online: What do you think of the rappers who are doing porn movies (though usually they are not having sex, just hosting a wild sex party)?

Eddie: I think they're the smartest people in the world.

AVN Online: Would you ever do one?

Eddie: Maybe, what are the hours?

AVN Online: Given how far the union between the two has come, where can the rap-rock-porn connection go from here? What is the next step?

Eddie: We have this great idea for a porn scene. You have your steamy sex going on in the bed (or barnyard or whatever) and you hear the wahkka-wahkka sound of a guitar being played and then the camera pans back and there's (Supersuckers guitarist) Ron Heathman playing his guitar in the corner - swelling and flowing to the beat of the sex. That's where it needs to go - interactive music.

AVN Online: What is your favorite porn movie?

Eddie: The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, starring Don Knotts. Pure sex.

AVN Online: Who is your favorite porn performer?

Eddie: Don Knotts, of course

AVN Online: Your favorite sex toy?

Eddie: My wife. That's a great one!

AVN Online: Name the wildest place you've done it

Eddie: I guess it'd be on an airplane or up against the wall of a castle in Carcassonne, France.

AVN Online: Is there anything you still want to do sexually and haven't yet?

Eddie: Not that I can think of. I'm a pretty "meat and potatoes" kind of sex guy, really (much to my wife's dismay at times!). I just like me some good old-fashioned fuckin'. You can gussy it up all you want but at the end of the day it's still the ol' "cock in the hole" that does it for me.

AVN Online: How many "groupies" would you say you've slept with?

Eddie: Too few to admit to.

AVN Online: What age did you lose your virginity?

Eddie: I was 17 and she gave me the crabs! I guess it could've been worse, but that was a quick lesson in what to look out for!

AVN Online: At what age did you first see a dirty magazine? What did you think of it?

Eddie: I think I found some in the desert by my house in Tucson and I remember thinking, "No way am I ever gonna mess with that action." I was pretty young.

AVN Online: When was the last time you got laid?

Eddie: Day before yesterday, the night before I left for tour.

AVN Online: When will the next time be?

Eddie: In about a week when my wife joins me [on the road].

AVN Online: Got any words of wisdom to aspiring rock stars?

Eddie: Don't do it! No, but seriously, if you are doing it you should determine whether or not this is hobby rockin' or not. Is someone in the group truly talented, motivated, or exceptional in some way or is this just something that seems like it'd be fun to do? There's nothing wrong with hobby rockin' so save yourself a lot of heartbreak and misery by determining if you've got the goods before you dive in too deep.

AVN Online: Any words of wisdom to aspiring porn stars?

Eddie: That seems like a pretty easy racket to get into. Just be pretty and love to fuck. Oh, and don't care that your reputation will be forever as fucked as your ass.

AVN Online: Got any words of wisdom to people trying to get laid?

Eddie: Just be yourself, don't be scared to say what's on your mind and be honest. That shit works.
