Ducati Productions is getting into the transsexual market with its new line Ladies are Gentlemen.
The title, set for release on July 18 through Northstar Associates, features an all Brazilian cast, starring box cover model Andrea Mel.
“Tranny titles are becoming very popular and becoming more accepted and more companies putting them out,” said Kevin Ducati, company owner.
“It all started on the Internet and it grew from there and now it’s on video and DVD so it’s definitely growing.”
Shot entirely in Brazil by American director Roy Magnum, the title features a slew of performers some of whom are completely new to American viewers. The cast includes Julia, Bianca Carvalho, Patricia Bismark, and Victoria Ribeiro.
“I don’t know what it is down there but the trannies there look a lot more like women than the trannies here,” Ducati said.
“It’s more cost effective to shoot down there than it is to do it here so it naturally increases the profit margin, but it’s also the availability of the talent that helps us too. There are a lot of trannies down there.”
The company is already planning its second title for the line and it also plans to ramp up production in that region. The company is setting up a director to live in Argentina to coordinate production.
Meanwhile, the company is preparing to release its new solo girl line on Aug. 8, Party of One, starring Lauren Phonix and Nicki Hunter. Its other lines are Pigtail Cuties, Welcome to the Bunghole, and the I love…series focusing on a single performer.
