Intimate apparel maker Dreamgirl International introduced its fall and holiday collection at its European sales meeting in Paris this week.
“We have more than doubled the size of the line in one year because of the enthusiastic reception which we have received from buyers across the continent who are looking for the latest and most innovative fabrications used by Dreamgirl’s team of designers,” company CEO Christopher Scharff, said of the line which features bras, panties, corsets and other undergarments.
Among the highlights are “Venetian Vixen,” which features embroidered lace and smooth chiffon with stretch velvet ribbon trim.
Another fashion group includes “Va Va Velvet” which was created in response to the embroidered embellishments trend in sportswear and lingerie markets. It features sensual styling using crushed velvet and chiffon.
The company’s “Razor Blade Suede,” also highlights the line by using lasers to cut and burn a floral pattern into lightweight faux suede. It also features silver and antique gold eyelets with suede cord lace up pants and corsets.
“Disk Diva” was inspired by South Beach’s all night fiestas, with sparkling, sheer, stretchy and strappy fabric embellished with hand sewn sequins. These are available in black and magenta.
The “Prism Tile” group features a new fabric that uses a holographic cube design that reflects light from all angles. This group includes bra tops, skirts, dresses and bustiers with matching thongs.
The microfiber dancewear group features sequin panels that adorn the fabric throughout. The group is available in dresses, bandeau tops, skirts and a strapless microfiber bodysuit.
The company’s collection also includes a variety of contemporary corsets along with removable garters, stockings and thongs.
“In order to make our new corset selection as unique as possible, we have included matching necklaces/neckbands along with coordinating bottoms and hose that compliment the overall design of each corset,” Scharff said.
The collection is led by the Kendall Corset which uses the same concept as the company’s Ursula Reversible Corset, introduced earlier this year.
The Kendall Corset is a reversible corset comes with purple shirred satin on one side and flat black velvet on the other.
The Samantha Corset features a velvet and stretch lace corset with a long necklace that can be layered for dramatic effect. It comes with a stretch lace boy brief instead of the usual lace panty.
The company’s collection also includes several holiday costumes such as the “cheeky cowgirl,” with stretch velvet with faux fur trim bra top, chap pant legs and matching thong. It also includes a cowboy hat. It’s available in red/white and pink/white.
The “Snow Bunny” costume features a stretch velvet fabric with faux fur trim bra top and thong with a bunny tail and bunny ears, along with a neck band and white cuffs.
The “Santa’s Sweetie” costume features a stretch velvet dress with faux fur trim and includes a hat, necklace, belt and gauntlets in fuchsia and red.
Dreamgirl’s collection is also highlighted by its Red Diamond Holiday Collection which features a variety of costumes such as “Santa’s Helper,” made up of knit halter apron with glitter velvet trim, shirred wrist cuffs, a ribbon necklace and a hat and thong.
The line also features the “Ho, Ho, Ho,” with faux fur thong, attached microfiber suspenders to cover the breasts, a velvet ribbon necklace and a Santa Hat.
The collection is capped by gift sets that include a Peignoir set with soft cap sleeves with an empire waistline with a stretch lace and mesh babydoll with a matching cap sleeve robe.
Other gift sets include shirred Lycra net wrist cuff restraints with silver chains and matching thong or Lycra panties.
