Softcore production house Doorway Productions gets gothic with its recently released Goth Girls.
Featuring three erotic stories about the supernatural, the title features Lynn Marz, Jessika del Monte, Cassi Zonbar and Nikki C., who find themselves in peril and in bondage for much of their scenes.
“These are all softcore and bondage stories that have a 'Twilight Zone' feel to them but are very erotic,” said Josh Maldonado, Doorway’s owner.
“All the stuff we do is horror-based and erotic, but not hardcore. We do softcore because people seem to like that more.”
Maldonado’s three-year-old, Ohio-based company has been slowly growing with a number of titles featuring horror themes that border on the grisly and highly unusual. But he says his dedication to softcore has attracted horror fans and adult video buffs who are equally drawn to the hot girls and the horror-themed erotic situations.
“I think if we did hardcore we’d lose a lot of our audience,” Maldonado said.
“Maybe at some point we could do hardcore, but I don’t see us doing it.”
The company’s next title, scheduled for sometime in May is Slavez of Horrorland, also featuring Marz, along with Telsa and mainstream actor Joe Shelby, who is known for his role in Joe A. Romero’s 1978 horror classic, Dawn of the Living Dead.
The company is also scheduled to release Creepy Clips 1,2 and 3 this summer, made up of short vignettes with shocking endings.
“Some of the stories we do are a little cheesy, but they’re usually creepy and erotic at the same time,” he said.
“I try to stay away from vampires and zombies and things like that. There’s enough of that around.”
