LOS ANGELES—Digital Playground releases The Birthday Slasher, Seth Gamble’s Digital Playground directorial debut starring Liz Jordan and Parker Ambrose.
Goth hottie Emmy (Liz Jordan) has a simple birthday celebration in mind. Stay in, eat cake, and binge horror movies, but her bestie Sadie has something else planned. When Sadie’s boyfriend Benny and his buddy Scott (Parker Ambrose) show up, there’s a major vibe switch.
The surprise guest happens to be Emmy’s longtime crush with shocking news that there’s been a murder nearby. When Emmy and Scott sneak away for a little private time upstairs, she finally unwraps the birthday gift she really wanted. Little do they know that amidst the horny fun, a real horror is about to begin. A bloodcurdling scream cuts through the silence and it’s starting to feel like no one is safe.
Director Seth Gamble shares his thoughts on the project.
“Directing The Birthday Slasher marked my directorial debut for Digital Playground and it was an absolute honor,” says Gamble. “I’ve been performing for Digital for almost two decades, so stepping behind the camera with them was a surreal, full-circle moment. This project was such a fun ride, suspenseful, darkly playful, and at times genuinely creepy.

"Liz Jordan absolutely killed it in the lead role, she brought power, nuance, and total command to every scene. Parker Ambrose delivered with his signature presence, and Lucky Fate and Myra Moans both did an incredible job in their respective parts. I’m proud of every performer on this one.”
Gamble continues, expressing gratitude for his team behind the scenes.
“I can’t talk about this experience without giving credit to my crew. Every single person played an integral part in making this come to life. Thank you to everyone at Digital Playground for trusting me with this. I think the audience is going to have as much fun watching it as we did making it”
The Birthday Slasher releases on August 4 exclusively on DigitalPlayground.com.
