LOS ANGELES—Digital Playground has begun rolling out its newest production, The Last Resort, directed by Marvin Love and headlined by Scarlett Alexis and Nathan Bronson. Co-stars include Texas Patti, Vince Karter, Gal Ritchie, Stella Luxx, Cherry Kiss, Nick Strokes and Jayden Marcos.
The Last Resort follows Jess (Alexis) and Andy (Bronson), a couple on the verge of collapse, as they attempt to reignite their relationship by checking into Paradise Pleasures—“the sexiest resort on Earth."
“From the moment they arrive, it’s clear that this isn’t your average getaway. Sex is everywhere, boundaries are blurred, and the resort regulars are ready to enrapture the new arrivals,” a plot description elaborates.
“I had the most amazing experience working with director Marvin and the entire crew and cast,” Alexis said. “My character experienced an array of dramatic emotions that I thoroughly enjoyed expressing and the synergy of everyone in this project made it an experience I’ll never forget.”
“With a standout performance by Texas Patti as the handsy resort manager Mia, the tension between Jess and Andy escalates when a fake engagement proposal goes terribly wrong," the description continues. "Feeling betrayed, Jess finds comfort in the skilled hands of the seductive masseur Sven (Karter). What follows is a spiral of passion and revenge, as both Jess and Andy set out to sample everyone the resort has to offer.”
Director Love shared his experience with the project. “I really enjoyed making and directing The Last Resort," he said. "When I got the script, I was in Thailand on vacation and right after reading it, I decided to look at my vacation in a different way and draw inspiration from my experience of beautiful Thailand and bring it into this movie.
“I can’t take away from the writing of the movie,” Love added. “The writing is quite brilliant and funny. I loved working with everyone. Both Nathan Bronson and Scarlett Alexis were amazing as leads. This is a refreshing story that needs to be told, and I am very excited to see how the audience will react to the story. The Last Resort has everything one could want, scandal, great sex, funny moments, revenge and love.”
Ritchie recalled, “I had a fantastic time being involved in this project. The Last Resort is such a fun concept, and it was so much fun working with Stella and Nathan, the way it was filmed was super unique, especially the underwater aspect. I can’t wait for people to see the final product.”
“My experience on set was so much fun,” offered co-star Luxx. “I truly had the best time with this crew, everyone was so full of life and energy! I’m so honored to have been a part of this production and to meet and perform with some people that I have never met before. I’m so excited for the fans to see my scene with Nathan Bronson and Gal Ritchie. We did some underwater action, and it was definitely an experience. I had so much fun though and I can’t wait for everyone to watch all our hard work.”
The four-part production will be released throughout the month of July, with the first episode premiering today at DigitalPlayground.com.
