Did Mary Carey Affect Lakers’ Shooting?

Mary Carey could be barred from attending Lakers games, or at least be asked to sit further back from the Lakers bench, after a sports columnist suggested her presence may have been responsible for the Lakers substandard outside shooting during last night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Los Angeles Times columnist T. J. Simers’ tongue-in-cheek coverage of last night’s game notes that Carey sat in the row directly behind the Laker bench holding paper signs with messages for each of the players.

“For some reason the Lakers couldn't seem to make a shot,” Simers wrote. “I noticed she was there, of course, because I'm paid to be observant.”

Recalling that Carey ran for governor with an eight-point plan to save California, Simers suggested the Lakers, whose outside game apparently had problems last night, check with the Kick Ass Pictures exclusive to see what advice she had for them.

Perhaps the solution would be to place Carey behind the visiting team’s bench.
