AVN Publications, Inc., the leading company in adult media and publishing, today announced that Darren Roberts has been appointed CEO. He takes the post having previously served as the Company's vice president and COO. Paul Fishbein will continue to serve as the company’s president.

Roberts stepped into his AVN role in 1996, assuming responsibility for the company’s strategic planning, technology development and management. Since then, he has been key in the acquisition of another trade magazine and B2B show, AVN Online and Internext Expo; expanded the company’s consumer-based show, Erotica Los Angeles; and created strategic partnerships with key companies including a deal with Sirius radio network and Vudu. Prior to AVN, Roberts owned and operated a printing and publishing business based in Pasadena, Calif.
