Dan Hogue Buys Majority Interest in CamZ

After a long and productive partnership with partner Robert Cain, CamZ owner Dan Hogue (aka CamZ_Dan) has acquired the majority interest in the company.

The move marks the end of a seven-year business relationship.

“Robert and I decided to go in two different directions,” Hogue tells AVNOnline.com, noting that the buy-out was not long in the making. “This was something that just came up. He was looking to buy me out or have me buy him out.”

Hogue says he plans to relocate the CamZ headquarters from Thailand to Florida.

“We don’t plan on changing anything in our core products immediately,” he says. “I’m real happy with our model. The business model has always been centralized around the amateurs we deal with, and that’s not going to change.”

Hogue says the relocation of the company’s central office will allow for a renewal in CamZ’s commitment to solid customer service.

“We want to be more productive and more responsive to our affiliates and performers,” he says.

Hogue also says that some additional tools will be made available to affiliates and performers “to make it easier for [them] to better integrate the content into their sites and to brand it as their own content. There’s going to be some tools there that will make it easier for affiliates of our one-on-one network to promote us. And for performers, we’re trying to streamline the setup process to make it easier and a little bit less technical on their end.”

After seven years offering not only content but also a standard pay-per-minute affiliate program, Hogue says CamZ “has a bit of an identity crisis. People either recognize us for our pay-per-minute model or they recognize us for our content. They really don’t know that we’re both.

“One of the biggest things that we’ve tried to get across to everybody is that live content is no longer an up-sell; that content is king,” he adds. “Live content is something that there isn’t a lot of. When people who have websites think of live content, they generally think of a panty-chat plug-in. But that’s not really content; it’s just an upsell. We’ve created a system that actually is live, hardcore content where these amateurs are doing live, one-hour shows and there is no cost involved for members of their site. However, we do convert them.”
