Crystal Climax specializes in glass dildos and assorted novelties made with an artistic flare, designed for the high-end of the novelty market. While not the only company competing in that market space, Crytal Climax attempts to stand apart from other glass novelty makers by offering a wide selection of items, with multiple options for each item.
Most Crystal Climax products are available in sizes from 6.5 inches to 13 inches. Phallic items are available in either a curved or straight style, and most items are available in one of three base colors, with over 11 colors available for accents.
And if that's not enough to choose from, Crystal Climax will even take custom orders.
The company’s most popular items tend to be the more realistically sized dildos, with crystal being the most popular color, with pink being the second most popular color.
The company separates their products into three separate collections: Classic, Hedonistic and Fantasy.
The Classic Collection has simplistic, yet innovative items such as The Gentleman – a crystal penis with an attached scrotum that comes in sizes from 6.5 inches to 13 inches, with a straight or curved option for the phallus.

The Fantasy Collection offers various phallic-based shapes designed with curves and rides to offer a variety of textures. Customers can order these items in a variety of colors.
The more adventurous novelty user might find The Hedonistic Collection appropriate. The collection includes anal plugs, multi-leveled dildos and a crystal pacifier.
With SRP's that range from $89 to $399, Crystal Climax products are geared towards "upscale" customers. They’ve accommodated their packaging to meet the needs of stores that cater that clientele.
“We found that a lot of stores that were selling similar items were removing the photographs from the clamshells. We don’t think that the women buying items like these are going to recognize porn stars, we’re not sure that even if they did it would be considered a positive endorsement,” Lakia Somerville, vice president of marketing for Crystal Climax, told AVN.com. “These are classy items. If I’m going to spend that sort of cash, I want it to be for something that’s sold in a champagne box, not a clamshell.”
Somerville says that most retailers display Crystal Climax in glass cases, placing them in a high-quality cardboard box after the sale.
Somerville reports that interest in their products has grown not only from a recent plug on HBO, but also from the public's increased awareness of the benefits of glass novelties.
“Glass is far more sanitary and they are easy to clean. The non-porous nature of the glass makes it hard for bacteria to hide in them and you can just stick in a dishwasher to clean them or use soap and water,” Somerville said.
Sanitation isn’t the only benefit of glass dildos: they can also be microwaved or frozen without risk of damage. “The temperature changes create different sensations that can be pleasing,” Somerville said.
And customers don’t need to worry about their items breaking. Crystal Climax products are made with a borosilicate glass known as Pyrex, a medical grade glass designed for durability. “You’d have to be trying really hard to break them,” Somerville said.
Besides their catalog products, Crystal Climax can create custom pieces, of a sexual or non-sexual nature. Somerville tells of a recent custom project that called for a corporate logo to be used in the design of a dildo – the artisan who created the piece put the logo within the glass, so that there would be no rough edges in case of use. “Our artisans can do just about anything you can think of,” she said.
The best know example of their custom work would be designing custom awards for the Player’s Ball, including a 2003 Player of the Year award designed exclusively for the host of this year’s AVN Awards - Jenna Jameson.
