My sincerest admiration to the brilliant Elvis Costello as I invoke the title of his second album so that I may present Crissy Moran as... This Year's Model. It's a tad cliched to use such a highfalutin' phrase, but my journalistic shame has long since evaporated, and, more important, Moran positively fits the bill: a model on the rise, someone who is shaking up the biz. Like a beautiful chameleon (in the vein of supermodel Linda Evangelista, for example), Moran can go from cute and sassy to dangerous and smoldering in one click of the camera. AVN Online: Where were you born?
Crissy Moran: Jacksonville, Florida. I grew up in Jacksonville and lived in Tampa for a year. And then I moved out to California.
AO: Have any siblings?
CM: I have one brother.
AO: How did you get into modeling?
CM: I was working a regular job with the city government for five years and then I discovered the Internet. After that, I found these model Websites and I put my pictures up on the sites and then people started to e-mail me. I started modeling when I got an e-mail from Harvey Butt - he shoots for Mac and Bumble - and he did my first photo shoot. After that, I started my Website and it all went from there.
AO: Do you remember the fist time you took off your clothes for the camera?
CM: I was very scared. And I had never modeled, ever... and the photographer had to make me feel really comfortable because I was really nervous. I was scared shitless.
AO: What makes you feel sexy?
CM: Doing my Website. I love to do the pictures, the live Webcam shows. I guess being an exhibitionist, even though I'm shy. I'm shy but I have this thing where I don't feel uncomfortable being nude.
AO: How many people have actually paid $24.95 for your personally worn panties, which on your site it says are, "worn all day, un-washed and sealed in a zip lock baggy."
CM: I have to buy new panties all the time. We probably send out at least 10 pairs a month.
AO: Wow. Impressive. So how about describing the underwear you have on now?
CM: I'm not wearing any. I don't like to wear them unless I have to send them out.
AO: Is it primarily a comfort issue?
CM: Yeah, because they go up your butt. I'll wear them if I have to. If it's a personal appearance I usually don't, but if it's something conservative, family-wise, then I will or I'll feel guilty.
AO: What is your greatest fear?
CM: Failing... at anything. I don't like to fail. I like to do my best at everything that I do. And if I fail after I do my best, then I feel like that's my worst fear.
AO: What would we find on your nightstand right now?
CM: Candy. I have candy right next to my bed. Reese's, Starburst... I like junk food.
AO: What's it like to be in a sexy photo shoot with another girl?
CM: I love it. If it's a really pretty, sexy girl, then it's a lot of fun.
AO: How is kissing a girl different than kissing a boy?
CM: Much more soft, and sometimes a little more intimate. I don't like to kiss too much, so if I find a girl that I like to kiss, then it's very intimate.
AO: What do you like to do in your spare time?
CM: I like to edit my pictures. I Photoshop my own pictures and get them ready for my Website. Do photo shoots for my Website. I go to the gym every now and then.
AO: Where's the craziest place you've ever had sex?
CM: It was in an apartment complex, standing outside, standing up and holding onto a fence. It was near a Jacuzzi area.
AO: What's your favorite body part?
CM: I don't really like my body parts. I think I have nice feet. My feet, I can say they're pretty. I can look and say 'yes, I have beautiful feet.' I don't like my butt, but that's what my fans like.
AO: What's something guys do that really annoys the hell out of you?
CM: Rudeness. Instead of being sexy, being gross.
AO: When was the last time you were really embarrassed?
CM: I embarrass myself all the time. I'm really clumsy, and I get embarrassed easily.
AO: How do you relax?
CM: I like to listen to nice, soothing music... with candles and hot baths. I love to relax to that.
AO: I read that you like ice cream. What's your favorite flavor?
CM: It changes. Right now, I like the H�agen-Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond. It's good.
AO: What cartoons did you like growing up?
CM: I liked G.I. Joe. I also liked Winnie the Pooh. It was cute.
AO: I understand you like to write poetry. What inspires you to write?
CM: Usually, it's always about love... love situations. Whenever I would have a bad situation with my boyfriend and we'd break up, I'd always write.
AO: I'll bet it's a great way to express your feelings.
CM: I always used it to express how I felt after I had a bad situation with a boyfriend and it would make me feel good because I could turn the bad into good and then people could relate to it and say, 'Yeah, I felt that way before, too.'
AO: Are you romantic?
CM: Yes, extremely.
AO: Do you have any sexual fantasies you still haven't fulfilled?
CM: Not really. My major sexual fantasies have been fulfilled... I love being watched and I have experienced being with a woman.
AO: What plans do you have for the future?
CM: One day, I want to slowly ease my way out of modeling and my Website, and run some other sites that feature other girls.
