Courtney Love to Play Lovelace in Film

Courtney Love is attached to star as Linda Lovelace in a film based on her life tentatively titled Lovelace, according to a report in today’s Daily Variety.

The project is being developed through Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions and will trace Lovelace's life from 17 until she died in 2002 at 53, the report said.

Inside Deep Throat producer Brian Grazer originally wanted to produce a Lovelace film. He optioned her autobiography, "Ordeal," but eventually rejected that approach as too depressing, according to the news magazine. Directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, Inside Deep Throat has earned just under $600,000 since its release Feb. 11, Daily Variety reported.
