A national group called WAR-LINE is taking pictures of people who enter adult bookstores and then posts them on the Internet, according to a NBC-TV affilate in Columbus.
WAR-LINE stands for War Against Rape-Let It Never End and was founded by a 57-year-old Kentucky man, John Reneer, several years ago. According to the report, Reneer hopes people will see his cameras outside many adult bookstores in the Louisville, Ky., area and shy away.
Organizers say it is working.
Reneer’s desire to fight pornography is a 180-degree turn. At age 21, he was arrested for armed robbery and he landed again in prison this time for first-degree sodomy, the station said.
“There is nothing I can do now that could ever make up or alleviate what I’ve done in the past. My goal is to make a difference," Veneer told the news program.
William Todd, a Columbus attorney specializing in privacy issues, says that WAR-LINE may be legal, but could result in a civil lawsuit.
“You’re really trying to infringe on someone else’s ability to exercise what is completely legal behavior, and painted in a way that casts a false light or an inappropriate light,” Todd said.
“I welcome if they want to sue, let’s have at it and we’ll let the public decide,” Reneer added.

Reneer was in Columbus, Ohio to protest the homes of people they claimed helped finance an adult bookstore in Kentucky.
