CineKink Announces Call for Entries for 2024 Festival

NEW YORK—CineKink, the "kinky film festival," is seeking works that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality for its 2024 season.

With the intent of recognizing and encouraging sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions, CineKink will consider offerings from both the independent feature world and the adult, with selections ranging from documentary to drama, camp comedy to artsy experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit—and everything in between.

"Basically, as long as it involves consenting adults, just about anything celebrating sex as a right of self-expression is fair game," said Lisa Vandever, CineKink co-founder and director. "Far be it from us to define 'kink.' If you think your work might make sense in this context, please send it along!"

Scheduled for its 21st-anniversary appearance in August 2024, the specially-curated CineKink NYC will include a short movie competition, audience choice awards, and an adult entertainment showcase/contest, with a virtual showcase and national screening tour to follow.

Discounted, "early-bird" entries are due Jan. 5, while the "regular" deadline is Feb. 16 and the "late" deadline is March 29, with submission fees increasing at each tier. A "final deadline" runs until May 3 for works submitted online only.

As always, entry fees are waived for CineKink alumni filmmakers, provided they are submitted by the “regular” deadline of Feb. 16, with a limit of three entries per filmmaker. Waiver information has been emailed to all alumni.
