“Don’t call it a comeback! I never left, baby,” adult legend Christy Canyon says while taking a short break from signing autographs for fans at the Paradise Visuals booth.
Although Christy stopped performing in front of the camera after she left Vivid in 1997, she has never left the spotlight. She went from contract girl to feature dancing around the country until 2002. She then wrote an autobiography, Lights, Camera Sex, toured the country to promote it for eight months, and last year began co-hosting Nightcalls with Ginger Lynn on Playboy Radio on the Sirius satellite radio network. Now she has turned director with the upcoming Paradise Visuals release X-Rated Heiress: The London Holton Story.
“I had to get used to saying ‘Action,’” Christy said about making the transition from being in front of the camera to behind it. “I kept thinking I should be licking the guy’s balls.”
Ultimately, the directing gig was second nature to Christy. “It was so easy,” she said. “I know what guys like, especially because of all the emails and comments I get from my fans on my website, christycanyon.com.”
X-Rated Heiress is a porno take on America’s favorite heiress and stars Felix Vicious as London Holton. When Holton’s boyfriend threatens to release their homemade sex tape, Holton ventures to make her own and beat her boyfriend to the punch.
Sunny Lane and Brittney Skye also star; and a classic Christy Canyon hardcore scene is weaved into the story.
At the moment Christy has no immediate plans for a second feature — particularly because she spends five days a week at her Playboy Radio gig.
“But when I do make a second movie, it will be for Paradise Visuals — and Randy West will be in it.” West, recently retired from performing, is sitting next to Christy at the Paradise Visuals booth signing autographs for fans. West smiles. “Now that’s a comeback,” she adds.
X-Rated Heiress is due out in May.
