Adult performer Christie Lee is leaving porn temporarily to care for her sister who was stricken with cancer.
Lee, who joined the industry in 2002, said she plans to return to Canada to help care for her 23-year-old sister.
“I found out last year that she had cancer and it looked like they took the cancer out and she was getting better, but it came back recently and she’s gotten really sick,” said Lee, who is 22.
“I kept thinking about it with me being here having all this fun and making all this money and my sister over there getting sick. I really didn’t think I should be here. I need to be with her,” she said.
Lee plans to leave late next week for home, but says she hopes to return someday.
“I can’t even think about returning. I have to think of my sister and that she gets well,” she said.
“She has a tumor in her neck and it got intertwined with her vocal chords. Now she may not be able to talk, but she’s still getting radiation and taking a bunch of pills, but it’s been hard on everyone.”
Although she’s unsure what she will do once she arrives, Lee isn’t worried about work just yet.
“I’ll find something to do, but my main concern is my sister and my family.”
Lee’s absence will be felt by many, said veteran director Alex Sanders who recently directed Lee.
“The thing abut Christie is her willingness to take whatever you can dish out and keep a good attitude about her,” he said.
“She’s got a curvy little body and a great ass and she loves her work.”
Lee is known for such titles as the Shane’s World Release College Invasion 5, Evil Angel’s Black Cock Addiction; Third Degree’s Cum Beggars 2, and more than 200 other titles.
