Chi Chi, Three More Join ASACP Advisory Council

Adult entertainment giant Chi Chi LaRue and three other adult Internet figures have joined the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (formerly Adult Sites Against Child Pornography)'s advisory council.

“I hope that my very public alter ego and my longtime affiliation with both video and internet industries can send a message that one of the things both industries have in common with the mainstream is a hatred for child pornography,” said the irrepressible LaRue in a statement.

ASACP said there had been two vacancies on the advisory council but the existing membership decided to pick four. The other three new members are SplitInfinity Network's Chris Jester, Moss Consulting owner and president Holly Moss, and TrafficDude president Scott Rabinowitz.

“I was pleased to be among several seasoned colleagues from the industry to have the opportunity to support ASACP in a long term and strategic manner," Rabinowitz said in his own statement.

"Consistent with their methods overall, in which ASACP supports and focuses on the needs of the many rather than the few, even the application process to be part of the Advisory Council focused on whether potentials could fit their ideas and methods into a group level brain trust," he continued. "It was apparent that this organization operates with complete clarity of mission, across their staff, their supporters and sponsors, and most definitely their Advisory Council.”

Moss was likewise pleased to be named to the council. “I am truly honored to be involved in an organization that makes a difference in the on going battle against child pornography on the Internet," she said. "I believe my experience and knowledge of PR and online marketing will help give ASACP the kind of attention and recognition it needs to achieve its goals and mission for 2005."

Jester said his original introduction to ASACP surprised him for being a group dedicated to protecting children and funded by the adult entertainment industry.

“I have been running SplitInfinity Networks for ten years, and during the process had become well acquainted with the nasty things that go on the Internet," he said. "I have been responsible for shutting down well over 120 Websites engaged in crimes against children. This is why I jumped at the opportunity to join the ASACP Advisory Council.”

The foursome joins incumbent advisory council members Michele Freridge (Free Speech Coalition), Alec Helmy (XBiz), Tom Hymes (AVN Online), Morgan Sommers (Cybersocket), and Jeff Southworth (Epoch).
