Porn director Chi Chi LaRue issued a call to arms this week, pleading with fans to help defeat President Bush in the upcoming November election. Citing recent moves to attack the First Amendment rights of adult filmmakers, LaRue announced the launch of a new website, ProtectYourPorn.com, intended to encourage adult entertainment consumers to vote in this year's presidential election.

"I know the last thing America wants is a big drag queen telling people how to vote, but tough!" LaRue declared. "I am speaking out because the industry I love is in jeopardy, and this next presidential election is crucial."
LaRue went on to say that ProtectYourPorn.com will provide informative articles and Web links to stress the importance of voting. "Everyone needs to be aware of the Bush administration's agenda and the steps that are being taken now to crack down on porn," LaRue explained.
LaRue added that the site won't be all politics. "At the same time I wanted to have a little fun before they throw me in the pokey and turn this country into a bunch of hypocritical right-wing Stepford wives," he cracked, adding that he will be calling on supporters to donate articles, ad space, giveaways, or just time in the effort to kick Bush out of the White House—"whatever it takes to protect our right to create and view adult material."
Reached by phone on Friday, LaRue told AVN.com, "If ever there was a time to vote, it's now. It's a standard rule that anyone who wants any rights at all should follow. If the government starts taking away one thing, they'll start taking away everything. It's our right as adults to pick and choose what we want, just like the food we want to eat or the television we want to watch."
Supporters are encouraged to post ProtectYourPorn.com banners on their websites.
