Cherry Boxxx Pictures will release the second volume of its adult animated series, PornoMation, in early 2006.
Billed as a “lyrical erotic vision,” the series is the product of cutting-edge digital creations from the husband-wife team of Sagemonn and Karynna.
PornoMation 2: Zuma - Tales of a Sexual Gladiator is about a sex slave named Zuma who is purchased by a robot creature that trains her to become a gladiator, Allen Gold, vice president of Cherry Boxxx, told AVN.com.
“She gets out there and fights other types of robots and creatures, and she possesses all kinds of sexual devices to win these battles,” Gold said. “It’s all triple-X.”
Cherry Boxxx launched PornoMation at the 2005 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, and it quickly became the company’s best-selling DVD of the year. Gold said the interest in it has been strong because of how different the project is from regular Cherry Boxxx fare.
"It’s a real niche item,” Gold said. “My opinion is that if you were to buy someone a gift in the adult category, this would be a great one because it’s just so different. … There are 10 chapters within the second volume and the animation process takes about a year to do.”
Gold said the second volume is driven by one storyline rather than a series of vignettes. He compared the quality of the animation to that of some of the high-end, mainstream video games that have become hugely popular.
“It’s not a cartoon, it’s more realistic,” he added. “We anticipate a big hit with this one, and we also think it will be a stimulant to create more sales on the first one.”
Gold said Cherry Boxxx would have a PornoMation 2 trailer playing at its booth at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January, and the DVD should be ready by late February or early March.
“A lot of work goes into this so it doesn’t sell at the same cost. This thing keeps its price because of the high-production values involved,” Gold said.
