Cherry Boxxx Pictures announced plans to shoot and edit all its future titles in the high-definition format.
The company started this week with Daisy’s A Dirty Little Girl, which features Cherry Boxxx’s non-exclusive performer Daisy in three scenes.
“We didn’t expect to shoot HD until 2006, but all of sudden we decided to purchase all the gear and editing equipment and we’re ready to go now, so everything from here on out for Cherry Boxxx Pictures and Baby Doll Pictures will be in HD,” in-house director Rick Davis told AVN.com. “We waited for a while. We knew a lot of companies were doing it and some of the new ones were doing it right off the bat. So we all sat down about a month ago with {owner} Kevin Beech and decided on it.”
Davis continued, “Even the view finder on an HD camera is scary. From a block away you can catch a bead of sweat on a girl’s forehead. The cameras are amazing. I’m excited about it. I can only see the quality of our stuff going up, and Kevin’s ecstatic.”
Davis also indicated that Cherry Boxxx is returning to a “wall-to-wall” style as opposed to gonzo as its new titles will each have six sex scenes with a connecting storyline.
Daisy’s A Dirty Little Girl will be released in September.
