Cherry Boxxx Pictures has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the Killergram series, produced by Europe’s Playhouse International.
The deal gives the Chatsworth-based company exclusive rights to the reality-porn series which features an all-European cast.
Allen Gold, Cherry Boxxx vice president, said the deal gives his company harder content that is edgy but doesn’t cross into extreme hardcore.
“We are not looking to reinvent the wheel, simply redesign it,” Gold said.
“Instead of doing a new line and continue to shoot domestically, we’re coming out with a line that's doing phenomenally in Europe and bringing it here.”
The first release under the deal will be in mid September with a new title rolling out every week, with a different theme.
The titles generally feature vignettes involving friends, spouses, strangers or office workers who invariably get together for a moment of aggressive hot sex.
“The girls over there seem to be a lot crazier than the girls here. They love to go wild,” Gold said.
The series originally began in the United Kingdom in 2002 by a couple which was into swinging. After finding numerous new contacts, one of the company’s founders, Anjali, who was born in India, formed the label in 2005 and began releasing new titles with new performers, Gold said.
“Beyond the obvious swinging and Indian Niches, our clients will enjoy the wide range of styles from interracial, MILFs and beyond with hard driving action in a high-quality format and packaging that will bring the viewer right into the action in more ways than can be believed.”
