LOS ANGELES—Violet Voss started her adult career doing glamour modeling in her native Texas: “I was a real estate agent at the time and modeling, as a hobby, because it was one of my passions. Then I lost my job in real estate around the time of the pandemic, and I had this epiphany that I could actually do modeling full-time and make a living from it. I never really thought of it like that before. I thought I’d give it a try, to see if I could make a decent living at it... and I did!”
As the modeling jobs continued—”Pretty-girls, clothes, a little nudity, but it was more lingerie and fashion. Mostly amateur photographers I found on Instagram or Model Mayhem”—she was approached to do fetish work.
“Shorter videos, 10 to 15 minutes, mostly amateur, for clip sites,” Voss explains. “I did a lot of bondage modeling, because there was a lot of work for it. Then I started getting opportunities to do female domination fetish work, which I was relieved to do because bondage modeling is hard on the body. It took a toll on me. But I realized I really loved being the dominant one in BDSM. I decided I wanted to produce my own clips, and I started putting out female domination clips on the clip sites.
“That kind of exploded with a different fanbase that I really hadn’t attracted before. They started asking me to do in-person sessions as a dominatrix. That was my primary role for about a year and a half.”
The next step (“I loved the fetish niche, but I wanted to be more than that”) was into mainstream b/g content, which she started in late 2024. “In that three-month time frame, I shot about 50 scenes. I moved from Texas to Tampa, Florida—I’m here [in L.A.] on a work trip, I’m here for 10 days and every day I’m shooting.” Shooting that many scenes in a short time takes its toll: “I took off the last three weeks to take a break, and I was also in the process of moving into my new home. I finally became a first-time homebuyer.”
She counts a Brazzers scene with Manuel Ferrara as one of her best.
“It was very fun. He definitely has a different style than any other male talent I’ve performed with. He said, ‘When I get into the scene, there are no cuts. We just need to go the whole way through,’” Voss says. “At Brazzers they make it comfortable for you not to take a break: You just stick your hand out and you get lube, water, whatever you need. It hasn’t come out yet, but when I posted some behind-the-scenes selfies on my Instagram, an average post gets 30,000 views, but that post got 3 million views in seven days.”
Represented by ATMLA, the 26-year-old likes the camaraderie of working in the adult industry.
“I love meeting new people, especially in this industry. I come from a corporate background in real estate, and those were not my people. I feel like I can be myself around people here. There are so many creative and talented people to learn from, and it’s very encouraging. These are people I don’t have to hide a part of my life from. In, like, a nail salon, I’m always wary of telling someone new who’s not in the industry, about this life. ‘I’m a model.’
“I’m looking forward to getting out as many scenes as possible. Grow my name, and get more fans, building on the fan base that I have. Interaction on the fan sites is something I really enjoy. I also have some nude magazine layouts coming out. I plan to have longevity in this part of the industry. I didn’t feel that way doing dominatrix work. I do feel the need for frequent breaks, because physically it can take its toll, and also mentally.”
Although Voss’s home is in Florida, she comes to Los Angeles “every six to eight weeks, for 10 to 14 days, to get bookings here.”
