Catching Up With Sona Bella

LOS ANGELES—They say not to judge a book by its cover. But if you are thinking of a high-octane energy drink wrapped in a bright pink can with bows and butterflies? You’ve got Sona Bella.

“I have too much energy in my body,” Bella says.

She laughs, smoothing out the multiple tiny bows and butterfly clips in her long, straight, brown hair falling down her petite body.

“No energy drinks, just enthusiasm,” she continues. “I am always on ten.”

Her aesthetic is pink cotton candy. And bows. “I love bows. Bows all over my hair,” Bella adds.

Sona Bella hails from Denver and a very strict Hispanic family. “I was really scared about the porn thing, but they’ve been really supportive. I haven’t been shunned or anything.” She has been in the industry for more than a year-and-a-half. She has also attended the AVN Show in Vegas three times and looks forward to even more trips.

She started, as many do, with an OnlyFans account while studying software engineering. “I just like technology,” Sona says. “I wanted to see what software engineering really meant. And it was like, oh, there’s a lot of math. Like, damn. More than I expected.”

After splitting time between Denver and Los Angeles, she finally relocated to LA for good. Besides her scene work, she taught herself to cook (“I make great shrimp with a butter sauce”) and she games on Twitch. League of Legends is her current game of choice. She also likes hiking and has been trying to make time for the great outdoors since she moved.

“I love nature,” Bella says. “I love getting naked and just lying there and letting the bugs kiss me.”

With her constant energy spikes, she wants to try her hand at everything at least once. But for now, as far as work, she is focused on her adult career.

“Porn is my straight, full-on-like focus,” she explains. “I don’t do dancing. I used to, but I just realized porn is so much more fun because you’re with people, you know?”

In her personal life, she likes hugging and touching, and hickies. But on screen, she takes a pounding.

“I am so sensitive, like I am extremely sensitive,” Sona admits. “Even in my scenes, people always think I’m exaggerating. But it’s like it’s not even close to that. I am just very sensitive.”

Also, she is excited to be paired with more female performers. “So much more aesthetically pleasing. I feel like it’s cute, you know?”

Her favorite scenes so far include a trip to Costa Rica for a series of solos shot in 4K.

Even with her bubbly party-like personality, she is very practical about her career in adult.

“I’ve heard of girls, you know, bodies giving up after a certain while,” Bella says. “So you gotta be careful. You gotta take a break. The money’s cool. But it’s like not everything is about money. You know what I’m saying? As long as you’re happy, you’re healthy, and you’re safe.”
