LOS ANGELES—Porn has been an eye-opening experience for River Lynn. The 24-year-old Alabama transplant began her mainstream adult film career in the summer of 2021, shortly after breaking up with the boyfriend who had first introduced her to content creation. Having grown up in the Bible Belt, she was a little gun-shy about moving forward but eager to take her shot.
“It’s funny, but I never used to open my eyes during sex,” said Lynn, whose early scenes on Pornhub had her face blurred out. “I’m a very sexual person, but being from Alabama, I had always been a bit shy about expressing my sexuality.”
Discovered by her first agency while still in college, Lynn was flown to Los Angeles, where she shot 13 scenes over the summer, but by her second studio shoot, she was ready for her closeup.
She said, “I kept telling myself, ‘This is going to be on camera—you have to open your eyes today.’ I knew if I did, I could let go and have fun. The guy was Jake Adams, right before he passed. He was really nice. I opened my eyes, and I had a great time.”
Nearly five years and more than 200 scenes in, Lynn is keeping her eyes on the prize, taking on new challenges, and setting her sights on what’s next.
“I had always wanted to do anal, but I was looking for the right opportunity to step out and announce, ‘I’m doing anal!’” she said with a laugh. “Dredd fell into my lap and I was, like, ‘Yes, this is perfect—big butt, big dick! Let’s go!”
“Of course, I was intimidated—it’s Dredd,” she revealed. “My holes are naturally tight, but willing to open. I fisted myself until I was, like, ‘Oh, wow, I bet that’s Dredd’s size!’ I can do it! I remember we took a break after the first position, and I was crying little tears of joy because I had done it.”
Lynn, who now is repped by Invision Models, is already thinking about her next porno milestone: a gangbang. “I’ve never done one,” she said. She’s even storyboarded the scene in her head.
“In my perfect world, it would be five guys, and it happens spontaneously because everyone is just feeling it. I’m walking along in some alley when they notice me, and I see them… and then it happens. All holes available.”
When she isn’t dreaming up gangbang scenarios, Lynn writes stories she hopes to see on screen. “I’m just trying to get a company to give me that chance,” she said. “I keep them all in my little bank, waiting for the opportunity to bring one of those visions to life.”

Her stories draw on familiar porn tropes but feature a distinctly female perspective.
“I stick with what’s popular now—stepbrother, stepsister, stepdad—but I add more drama and tension,” she said. “I feel a lot of female audiences don’t really get what they want out of porn. Adding that drama and tension, maybe even romance, pulls them in. That’s what I like to see. I like to see more than the humorous, ‘oh, we’re just hooking up,’ you know?”
Lynn continued, “For example, dialogue that has nothing to do with the scene but shows you who these people are and how they’re meeting, and why they’re making that decision to have sex in a very lustful manner.”
Of course, she may one day use those stories in her own productions. With her eyes now wide open, she sees the many opportunities ahead.
“This past year is when I really started putting effort into my career—prepping, training, and gripping it with both hands, while advocating for myself more. For the future, I would love to start producing my own scenes.”
