Cat's Eye: Up Close With KissCat

LOS ANGELES—KissCat remembers the moment that her adult entertainment journey started.

“It all started completely spontaneously,” she recalls. “I was drying my hair when my husband walked into the bathroom and said he’d read an article about people making $5,000 on adult platforms. I turned off the hairdryer and immediately said, ‘Why aren’t we filming yet?’

“That same day, we shot our first video. It was naive, amateur, totally raw, but it felt real. Of course, we soon learned that making money in adult isn’t instant. It takes consistency, hard work, and a lot of patience.

“But I still remember what I felt that day: excitement, freedom, anticipation.”

She released her first video on September 30, 2019.

Now almost six years later, the Russian creator has climbed to a ranking of 150 in the world on Pornhub with 217 million video views and more than 253,000 subscribers.

“Today, our production is on a whole new level, with pro gear and creative planning,” KissCat tells AVN. “My husband (Mr. Cat) is still my biggest inspiration. He comes up with scenarios where I can explore sides of myself I never imagined. Over the years, I’ve performed in around 350 scenes and honestly, I feel like I’m just getting started.

“Somewhere along the way, I realized that for me, erotica isn’t just a job, it’s a form of art. It’s about creating emotion, energy, connection. The camera is my brush, the body is the canvas, and every scene is a chance to say something honest about desire, vulnerability, and freedom. I think when it’s done with soul, adult content can be just as powerful as any painting, song, or film.

“And something really special happened about six months after my debut: I got a message from a couple who said they conceived their long-awaited child while watching one of our videos. That moment changed everything for me. I realized porn isn’t just about sex, it’s energy. It brings people closer, strengthens intimacy, and sometimes… it literally starts new life.”

KissCat says that Mr. Cat isn’t just her life partner, he’s also her creative partner who inspires her to fully express herself and dive into different characters.

The 5-foot-10 brunette, whose performing style “blends intimacy with aesthetics,” says she focuses on visual composition, lighting and movement in her content.

“I want each scene to be visually beautiful,” KissCat explains. “But on the other hand, I never want it to feel fake or overproduced. I aim to create an atmosphere that feels real, emotional and spontaneous like you’re watching something private and personal, not just a performance.

“I approach erotica as a form of storytelling through the body. Every glance, breath, and gesture matters. Whether it's passion, vulnerability, or playful seduction I want the viewer to feel something. That’s what makes adult content art, not just entertainment.”

A persistent, self-driven professional, KissCat says if there’s a closed door in front of her, “I won’t just knock, I’ll camp outside with a suitcase of ideas until someone opens it.”

“I don’t wait for permission to create or express myself,” she continues. “I follow my instincts, even if the path is unconventional.

“At the same time, I’m someone who values honesty in life, in relationships, and in art. I believe that being real is far more powerful than trying to fit into anyone’s expectations. That mindset has shaped everything I’ve built in this industry.”

She points to a number of a scenes that she’s proud of making, some of which marked turning points in her career.

KissCat says the video that won Best Creampie of the Year at the 2024 FapHouse Awards “was special not just because of the award itself, which is a big recognition in our industry, but because it was supported and voted for by real fans.”

“That kind of love from the audience means everything to me,” she adds.

“Another project I’m really proud of is my scene for LifeSelector, titled ‘My Domme Girlfriend, KissCat.’ It was one of the few times I worked with a scripted, interactive format, and it pushed me to explore a character emotionally and psychologically, not just physically.

“LifeSelector is a major studio in interactive adult entertainment, so being featured there was a milestone. The feedback was amazing, and it showed me how much I enjoy acting through storylines.”

Then there’s her latest season of her self-titled series, which she describes as “a deeply personal project where I stepped into a new role, not just as a performer, but also as a producer and creative lead.”

KissCat tells AVN it was the first time she had full control over every aspect of production, from developing the concept and choosing the cast to directing and editing.

“It’s the kind of work where you pour in your entire vision and personality,” she says. “I can’t single out just one episode, because each one reflects a different layer of my artistic voice.

“Episode 2, with Leya Desantis, is already live on my free platforms. Episode 3 with Matthew Meier might be out by the time this is published. This project showed me that I don’t just want to be in front of the camera, I want to shape the story behind it, too.”

Born and raised in Russia, KissCat spent her childhood in Khabarovsk; later her family moved to Moscow, where she spent most of her youth and earned her degree in economics.

Now she and her husband resident in Belgrade, Serbia, and she recently started traveling to Europe for shoots. In July, KissCat not only worked with Desantis and Meier, she also collaborated with Fanta Sie, Amalia Davis, and Vera Jarw. She says her dream  is to eventually live and work in Miami.

KissCat gained invaluable experience trying different mainstream jobs before she discovered her love for adult.

“None of it really excited me, though,” she admits. “I wasn’t doing any of it for passion, just for a paycheck. And I’ve never been someone who can fake interest for too long.”

Her first job after graduating was in the tax department, but she found it boring with no prospects for growth. Then she became a sales manager at a company selling women’s self-development courses, but soon realized that she didn’t want to sell something that felt potentially dishonest.

After leaving that job, she taught herself how to build websites and opened a small business.

“It was interesting to try myself in different roles—tax, sales, business owner—but none of those jobs allowed me to express who I truly am,” KissCat says. “They were safe, stable, but they weren’t me. I felt like I had so much creative energy inside, and no outlet for it.

“In adult content, I found that outlet. For me, erotica became a way to speak honestly about freedom and self-acceptance. The camera is my instrument, my body is the canvas and I show that the courage to be yourself is more powerful than any taboo.”

The surging performer says that she’s learned a lot about herself since she began her porn career—and she doesn’t only mean sexually, “but creatively and emotionally, too.”

For starters, she discovered that she’s bisexual and enjoys intimacy with men and women.

“But beyond that, I realized how much I love experimenting with ideas, with characters, with moods,” KissCat says.

“This career helped me see that my desires and my artistry are much more complex and dynamic than I ever imagined. Every project teaches me something new about who I am, what I want to express, and how I want to grow as both a person and a performer.”

Her plans for the rest of 2025 already are in motion with her sights set on releasing a brand new season that is more “ambitious and cinematic than anything we’ve done before.”

She notes the next season will feature new guest actors and a “deeper, more connected storyline,” moving toward a true series format.

“I don’t just want to shoot scenes, I want to create experiences, with strong visuals and emotional arcs that keep the audience watching not just for pleasure, but for meaning,” KissCat says. “At this point in my career, I’m focused on evolving not only as a performer but as a creator and producer. I want to keep building my artistic voice and exploring new ways to tell intimate, bold stories that reflect real human connection.”

She continues, “The adult industry itself is going through a huge shift creators launching independent platforms, the rise of personality-driven content, and now the challenge of artificial intelligence. For the past two years, I’ve been developing a project that combines AI with adult entertainment in a way that’s never been done before. I’m not ready to reveal full details yet, but I can say this: it’s a step toward the future of how we create and experience erotica. And I want to be at the front of that conversation not just reacting to change, but helping shape it.”

KissCat says what she loves most about her career is “the freedom to express myself, to choose what stories I want to tell, and to decide who I want to collaborate with.”

“I’m not just showing up on someone else’s set, I get to shape the direction of my career, creatively and professionally,” she tells AVN. “One of the best parts is the connection with my audience. Their support, their feedback it’s what keeps me going. I especially enjoy keeping things fresh and unpredictable.

“My viewers never know what’s coming next, a new storyline, a surprising guest star, or a different mood altogether. That sense of creative playfulness is what makes this job feel like an ongoing adventure, not just a routine.”

She reveals her stage name originally represented two people.

"Me (‘Kiss’) and my husband (‘Cat’). As a child, my dad called me Kiss, and friends called me Kris, a shortened version of my name. When we were creating our alias, it felt charming to use ‘Kiss,’” she explains. “At home, I also call my husband ‘cat.’ We combined these two words, and that’s how KissCat was born. Over time, as my popularity grew, my fans started calling me KissCat, and my husband had to come up with a new nickname, Mr. Cat. Thanks to my fans, I transformed from Kiss into KissCat.”

In rare moments when she’s not working, KissCat enjoys going to the gym and taking long walks in the fresh air.

“I can easily cover 20 kilometers within the city,” she says. “I also closely monitor the stock market, cryptocurrency and the development of artificial intelligence. I believe understanding these things is important to comprehend the world we live in.”

KissCat tells AVN she didn’t get into the adult business just for the money.

“I came into adult because I wanted to show that being real, being yourself even when it’s bold, sexual, and emotional is beautiful,” she says. “Porn gave me the freedom to do that.

“For me, it’s not about the paycheck, it's about creating something that resonates with people, that helps them accept themselves and feel more connected. That’s what keeps me going.”
