AVN Hall of Fame director and writer, Cash Markman, has signed separate deals with Wicked Pictures and Hustler to write upcoming features for them.
Markman recently signed with Wicked to write the upcoming feature Naked Illusions, starring Wicked contract star Carmen Hart and Devon Michaels. The title was directed by Randy Spears.
Earlier this year, he also signed with Hustler Video to write Aphrodisiac, the company’s upcoming big budget feature starring Hustler contract star Memphis Monroe and Daisy Marie.
Both titles are scheduled for release in October.
“Naked Illusions was something that Randy Spears had thought about doing ever since he saw this Columbo episode on TV with Jack Cassidy, who played a magician that committed murder,” Markman said.
“He sat on that for a couple of years and then he came over to me that’s how it started.”
The title also tells the tale of a murderous magician who ends up having a lot of sex as he evades being discovered.
Markman’s other feature, Aphrodisiac, looks at an Indiana Jones-like character who searches for the ultimate aphrodisiac when he encounters a centuries-old hottie who won’t take no for an answer.
“I’m known primarily for my comedies, but I also like to write dramatic things and some adventure-type stories,” he said.
Although Markman has been doing a lot of directing for Legend Video lately, he said he was happy to see his friend Jerome Tanner direct the feature.
“They shot a lot of that out in the desert in 100-degree heat, but Jerry’s did a great job.”
Markman’s latest Legend title, Cash and Carey, starring Mary Carey, is now in stores.
