After financial negotiations with Caesar over the starring role in the sequel to Cowboy broke down, producer/director Blue Blake resolved the situation in a very Hollywood manner. He killed off the character that Caesar had portrayed in the original and hired Chad Conners as the star of Cowboy Rides Again.
Caesar won a GAYVN Best Actor award for his portrayal of the disturbed drifter Cowboy O'Conner in the multi-award-nominated Cowboy.
"I hated to do it," Blake told AVN.com, "but Caesar's salary demands were stratospheric. So, bang!, Sheriff Brad Rock shoots Cowboy in the first scene."
In addition to Conners and Rock, Cowboy Rides Again stars Big Blue exclusive, Czech ice hockey pro Robert Van Damme, ex-NFL star Frank Shaft, ex-WWF wrestler Jay Poison, and porn stars Carlos Morales and Rocky.
"I'm thrilled about the way this movie turned out," Blake said. "It's full of huge bodybuilders who gave their all to the production. The film is a dark mystery like its predecessor and is simply wall-to-wall musclemen."
Filming has just been completed on Cowboy Rides Again. The movie is scheduled for an autumn release by Big Blue Productions.
