Porn and politics seldom mix—at least that's the impression left with Davie (Fla.) Town Council candidate Phillip Busey, one of four people running for the District 3 seat.
Supposedly dedicated to turf, Busey's HaulOver.org website instead was affiliated with bush: 20 pornographic websites featuring bush and bearing names like Lonely Wives Looking for Casual Sex, Hot Models on Nude Sex Webcams and Porn 100 Percent Hardcore and Free, as a matter of fact.
Fellow candidates, including incumbent council member Susan Starkey and former council member Terry Santini, are making the most of the trimmed-lawn mishap.
"[The site is] registered to me and I developed the page…, [but] this is a personal issue involving consenting adults," Busey, an associate professor of turf grass science at the University of Florida, told the Sun-Sentinel. "This campaign should be about the issues."
Regardless, Busey removed the offending links after a story about the controversy appeard in the Sun-Sentinel on Wednesday. The page now bears links to Miami Beach tourism websites.
