First let's get something straight: There's a museum dedicated to the dust-up between professional skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding at the U.S. Figure Skating Championship in 1994 that made worldwide news? Seriously??
Sure enough, there is, and the museum's founders Matt Harkins and Viviana Olen have teamed up with popular adult studio Brazzers to present "Brazzers Backroom VHS," described as "a time-traveling art exhibit that transports you to the backroom of the local video rental store," and features original art by Miriam Carothers—not to mention appearances by adult stars Abella Danger, Nicolette Shea, Phoenix Marie, Jordi El Nino Polla, and Luna Star, all of whom have appeared in Brazzers productions.
"At 310 C(anal), you’ll enter a VHS wonderland where the lights get low, the manager is on your ass and the late fees are strictly enforced," reads a press release about the upcoming exhibit. "Preview the latest releases such as The F*ckening and Doctor! All Our A*sholes are Possessed!, sign up for a membership card, fall through the Pay Phone Glory Hole Time Machine, anal-yze artifacts, or just relax in the employee break room. Live out all of your everyday fantasies behind the beaded curtain. Clean up on aisle 5! Hurry, it’s so filthy. Brought to you by Brazzers and The THNK1994 Museum. An invitation-only opening night party will take place on the evening of Saturday, September 28."
The Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan 1994 (THNK1994) Museum, originally bankrolled in 2015 by a Kickstarter campaign whose goal was to raise a whole $75, and originally based in the founding couple's apartment, is known for its titular exhibit as well as exhibits with such intriguing titles as "Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi," "Anna Wintour Double Crossing Her Legs," "Nicole Richie's 2007 Memorial Day BBQ" and more.
Anyway, the "Brazzers Backroom VHS," exhibit will be open Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The museum is located at 310 Canal St. New York, NY, and admission is free with RSVP to [email protected].
Have fun—and try not to club anyone above the knee!
