SAN FRANCISCO—Organizers announced official selections for the 2025 Blush San Francisco PornFilmFestival, to be held on August 16, at the Brava Theater. The red carpet event will be hosted by Center for Sex & Culture’s Dr. Carol Queen.
The event will feature educational workshops, short film programs and artist talks, followed by online streaming of the 2025 event and previous festivals, available August 17-31, powered by streaming adult platform PinkLabel.TV.
The festival's sixth anniversary edition is presented with the support of premiere sponsors MakeLoveNotPorn, AV Flox, and the Center for Sex & Culture.
The Blush San Francisco PornFilmFestival “is both a celebration of adult cinema’s rich history and a showcase for the bold innovations of today’s filmmakers. Now in its sixth year, the festival presents a curated collection of 69 films that span genres from experimental to documentary. Together, they offer a vibrant, thought-provoking exploration of human sexuality, intimacy, power, and pain—an erotic smorgasbord with something for everyone,” an event spokesperson said.
Since its launch in 2020 as an online-only, livestreamed event during the COVID-19 pandemic, Blush has grown into a hybrid festival with both in-person and virtual screenings.
“In an era where cinemas are shuttering, nonprofit organizations face major funding cuts, and sexual media is under threat from censorship and legal rollbacks, adult film festivals like Blush play a crucial role in defending sexual expression and free speech,” the spokesperson added. “To sustain this important work, the festival hosts an annual fundraiser inviting support from the international filmmaking community and its allies. Donations help fund essentials like renting an accessible theater and paying artists. With a goal of raising $7,000, supporters are offered thank-you perks including VIP passes, presale tickets, limited-edition T-shirts, PinkLabel.TV gift cards, on-stage acknowledgments and brand placements.”
The festival will feature seminars and screenings by notable adult cinema creators and experts including sex educator Jamie Joy, guest speakers BeyonDeep and Dolly Rose, and festival director Shine Louise Houston. Erotic director guest speakers include Ramses Rodstein, Her Dark Enigma and Jiz Lee. An Art/Smut shorts program will be presented, prior to the festival being capped off with a F*cking/Fun program of shorts, followed by the festival’s After/Party in Brava’s Cabaret.
On Sunday, August 17, the complete festival program will be featured with Re/Play, along with eight previous festival programs, available on-demand until August 31.
