Benny Profane’s sexual history or so-called “pornobiography” is revealed in VCA Pictures’ Barbed Wire Kiss, released Wednesday.
Directed by Profane himself, who also stars, the title shows his personal sexual journey as told through a series of flashbacks that take place during a tarot card reading. It also outlines his torrid sex odyssey as he tells it to a stunning sorceress, played by Caroline Pierce.
In this black comedy, Profane tells of his punk rock ex-wife, played by Veronica Jett, his trust fund goth girlfriend, Dominica Leoni, as well as his rockabilly Amazon blond squeeze, Adrianna Nicole, and his alt porn starlet, Amber Rayne.
Profane didn’t seem to mind being attracted to dangerous women, but looking back at the finished title, he said he was surprised how personal the storyline became.
“A lot of things seem like a good idea at the time. It wasn’t until we were shooting the last scene that I had second thoughts. It was very personal. I saw people reenacting moments of my life and that was very uncomfortable, but ultimately was very rewarding and therapeutic,” he said.
“I was approached by VCA to make this movie, but it didn’t shoot until months later. As we had prep time, everyone brought their 'A' game to this production.”
Meanwhile, VCA is scheduled to release Poll Position POV 2, featuring Penny Flame and Jenaveve Jolie, followed by Anal Swine, starring Kat and Jamie Elle, both set for Tuesday.
