BehindKink Debut Party Wows Porn Glitterati

Kink.com, the adult website company formerly known as CyberNet Entertainment, welcomed a horde of West Coast porno glitterati into its giant downtown San Francisco film studio on March 31 to launch its latest offering: BehindKink.com. Pornographers, writers, models, and webmasters mingled, sipped drinks, and nibbled on chocolate truffles while giving themselves impromptu tours of the Kink space. A vast, high-ceilinged medieval castle room was fitted with pulleys and beds, a massive dunk tank reminded everyone of why they love Kink’s Waterbondage.com, and a well-appointed stable room had everybody making naughty pony jokes.

We were given a special preview of what subscribers will get to see on BehindKink.com, which is one of the Web’s first reality sites about making porn. Every episode is the tale of a kinky webmaster and some models doing a shoot—plus bloopers, funny asides, and a glimpse of the daily porno grind. (“Now we have to spend several hours cleaning up,” FuckingMachines.com webmaster Tomcat says wryly after a particularly intense shoot.) The sense one gets watching is that these are a bunch of nice professionals who are really good at jacking girls off on camera. What’s not to love?

“What we’re trying to do with this site is show the vanilla world that kink is cool,” says Brian James, BehindKink’s webmaster.

He added that he wants the site to be educational, which is why the company is charging a low rate of $4.50 per month for a subscription. New content – including a short film and photo set – will go up every week.

The Kink.com soiree ended with live demos in the medieval dungeon room. Several hotties from WiredPussy.com showed an appreciative audience why you’ve never truly watched a girl squirm until you’ve seen her nipples and thighs shocked at the same time. And the Hogtied.com crew showed us how fast you can turn a lovely pair of breasts into a fetishist’s delight with a few feet of rope and some expert knots.

“We have an interesting story to tell,” says Kink Chief Executive Officer Peter Rogers, “and with BehindKink.com we can finally tell it.”

It was testimony to how much the community adores this company that Rogers got a standing ovation when he was introduced. Everybody knows Kink.com does it for the love—but of course, the money is nice too.
