Leading gay adult portal BananaGuide.com has launched a revised and expanded version of its membership site reviews.
Under new company guidelines, the five-year-old site now will review any site that offers original content. Previously, the company only reviewed sites that its staff found to be of excellent quality. More than 25 new site reviews have been added to BananaGuide, with at least one new review to be added per week.
Another new feature is the addition of site ratings. Sites now will be reviewed based on 11 different criteria. Additionally, BananaGuide now offers hover-over definitions for technical terms; a Content Details page denoting the exact amount of video and images, video formats, sizes and speeds, and all content plug-ins; the “fairness” factor of each site reviewed; “SafeRatings” of high, medium and low indicating the degree to which a site protects its models through the use of condoms; and links within site reviews to company and affiliate programs.
“The gay adult Web has evolved substantially in the past five years,” says Trevor Hennig, president of BananaGuide parent company Untangled Web Inc. “There are more quality sites available now than ever before, and BananaGuide is changing with the times. We are proud to have been at the forefront of the customer revolution in gay adult, and will continue to innovate to serve our customers.”
